'Gamhong' is a unique Korean apple variety distributed from the early 1990s. It is more expensive than other common apple varieties as it is harvested only for about a month and due to its demanding cultivation process.. However, it remains highly popular due to its superior quality. 

The color is a deep crimson and the shape is usually more elongated than round. Its surface tends to be rough. It may not be the most visually perfect apple but once tasted, it becomes clear why it is a premium variety.
