What does Special Grade mean?
A: Special Grade refers to the hand-selection process at Melon Son Farm — only melons that meet a minimum of 13 Brix sugar content AND pass a visual quality check for size, shape, and skin condition are packaged in the yellow box. Melons that don't meet both criteria are excluded regardless of size. This makes the Special Grade yellow box the top tier of the Seroni harvest.

What is Brix and is 13 high?
A: Brix measures the sugar concentration in fruit juice, the higher the number, the sweeter the fruit. Standard supermarket melons typically test at 9–11 Brix. A minimum of 13 Brix places Seroni Special Grade firmly in the premium tier. Every melon in this listing has been verified to meet or exceed that threshold before packing.
